Injection Quills

Optimized & Industry-ready Solutions

For All Your Complicated Needs

We build Injection Quills specifically for your injection needs and requirements.

ProMixUSA Chemical Injection Quills are used to introduce medium to highly corrosive chemicals into a pipeline without damage to the side port or pipe wall at the point of injection.  In addition, chemical injection quills ensure that chemicals are evenly dispersed into the center of the pipeline, which prevents channeling of the chemical down the pipe wall.  Also, the body and stinger are both constructed of chemical resistant plastics or alloys (PVC, Kynar, 316 SS, or Hastelloy C-276).  Finally, injection quills with 3” to XXX” long stingers are available from stock, or they can be produced with a low lead time.  Finally, all injection quills come with female by male MNPT threaded connections, flanged or Tri-Clamp Sanitary for ease of installation.  Retractable Quills come with Threaded, Flanged or Tri clamp sanitary ends and various stinger lengths, ball valves, isolation valves, safety chains and other options.

Injection Quill
No Check Valve

An injection quill without a check valve delivers chemicals into pipelines, ensuring precise dosing. It lacks backflow prevention, requiring careful system design to avoid reverse flow and maintain process integrity.

Flanged Fixed Injection Quill

Specialty Quills

A specialty injection quill with many different options crafted from various optional materials. Its various nozzle options that you can choose ensures proper injection, dispersion, and delivery. The retractable design allows maintenance without shutdown, and the fixed optimizes mixing and durability in harsh, high-pressure environments.

Fixed Injection Quill

Injection Quill
Check Valve

An injection quill with a check valve injects chemicals into pipelines, preventing backflow. It ensures precise dosing, enhances safety, and maintains system integrity by blocking reverse flow effectively.

Retractable Quill

A retractable injection quill allows safe chemical injection into pipelines and can be withdrawn without system shutdown. It ensures precise dosing, enhances maintenance ease, and maintains system integrity, often including a check valve to prevent backflow.

Material Options

PVC

PVC rod (unplasticised polyvinyl chloride) is a rigid engineering plastic that provides high mechanical strength, excellent resistance to chemicals and offers low moisture absorption.

316L Stainless Steel

Stainless Round Bar 316 exhibits high strength and excellent corrosion resistance including in marine environments.  Also, 316 is slightly stronger than 304 stainless and is rated as a marine metal.  Furthermore, 316 maintains its properties in cryogenic or high temperatures.

PVDF Kynar

Lightweight with high chemical corrosion resistance and high heat resistance, commonly used for chemical installations, pharmaceuticals and bioindustry applications, as well as for mining.  In addition, this partially fluorinated high-performance plastic is FM 4910 certified, non-toxic, and FDA compliant.

Hastelloy

Hastelloy® is a nickel-molybdenum alloy.  There are many different grades of Hastelloy®, many of which are nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys.  Also, each of these grades has been optimized for a specific purpose, but all of them are highly resistant to corrosion.

Perforated Slotted Nozzle

This precision-machined stainless steel nozzle features a multi-hole perforated end cap and a long longitudinal dispersion slot, plus additional side ports. It delivers uniform, multi-directional chemical distribution into pipelines and tanks while resisting clogging in both laminar and turbulent flows.

Flat-Fan Nozzle

This precision-machined stainless steel tip attaches to the end of chemical injection quills. Its wide, flattened rectangular slot creates a broad, uniform fan-shaped spray pattern that ensures even distribution of chemicals into pipelines, tanks, and process streams without clogging.

Helical Corkscrew Nozzle

This precision-machined stainless steel nozzle features a distinctive helical spiral tip that creates a powerful swirling dispersion pattern. Designed for chemical injection quills, it ensures rapid, uniform mixing and distribution into pipelines and tanks while resisting clogging in both laminar and turbulent flows.

Multi-Port Nozzle

This precision-machined stainless steel nozzle features a perforated end cap and multiple side ports for uniform, clog-resistant chemical distribution into pipelines and tanks. Ideal for laminar or turbulent flow applications, its polished construction provides superior corrosion resistance and even dispersion in demanding process environments.

30° to 45° Nozzle

The quill tip often features a precision-machined nozzle or orifice to control the spray pattern (e.g., conical, fan-shaped, or jet). The 30-50° angle may refer to the spray cone angle or the physical tilt of the nozzle. The 30-50° angle minimizes backpressure and erosion on the pipe wall compared to higher-angle injections

Duck Bill Nozzle

The duck bill end consists of a flattened, slit-shaped opening that creates a fan-shaped or wide spray pattern when fluid is injected. The duck bill’s geometry promotes a low-velocity, broad dispersion of the injected fluid, ideal for applications requiring even distribution without high turbulence

Cylindrical Nozzle

A simple, cylindrical tip with an open-ended orifice, typically a single hole or slot, for direct fluid injection. Straight-through flow with minimal obstruction. General-purpose chemical injection (e.g., corrosion inhibitors in oil/gas pipelines). Suitable for high-pressure systems
